R.I.P. Dimebag

Aesthetics Of Hate

Band: Machine Head and Pantera.
What: lyrics from Machine Head’s song Aesthetics Of Hate.
On who: unknown.

On Machine Head’s 2008 album The Blackening, there is a song called Aesthetics Of Hate, which is a reaction to an article of the same name by William Grim on the website Iconoclast.

In the song there is the line “He made us driven, deep reverence far beyond the rest” which of course is a reference to Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrell and the album Far Beyond Driven.

More info on Wikipedia, by the way.

“Dimebag” Darrell Abbott was shot and killed on stage in Columbus, Ohio on December 8, 2004.
